Honor, dignity, a large dose of Chinese history, facts from Ip Man's life (Tony Leung Ka Fai), and unspoken love and fascination between Ip Man and Gong Er (Tony Leung Ka Fai and Ziyi Zhang), wonderful choreography, beautiful costumes (nominated to Oscar Award Mr. William Chang), extremely interesting choreography of fights, filming of these fights, any stopping, slowing down the movement, or vice versa - its acceleration (nominated to Oscar Award Mr. Philippe Le Sourd), playing with light, sound (Traithep Wongpaiboon, Robert Mackenzie, Gary Chen), movement of the camera, at the same time a sublime taste and a huge momentum, great acting creations of EACH character (both foreground and supporting actors) create this genial WORK under direction of Kar Wai Wong.
