Dou fo sin (Flash Point) (2007)

100% Action, 100% Free Fight

The film is about good and bad people, where the good ones are cops Jun Ma (Donnie Yen) and Wilson (Louis Koo), while the bad ones - drug traffickers Archer Sin (Ray Lui) and Tony (Collin Chou).

Despite of the plot is predictable, I like to come back to this film and watch on and on.

Strengths of this film:

Cast - Donnie Yen, Collin Chou, Louis Koo, beautiful Fan Bingbing, Kent Cheng - I watch all those actors with real pleasure. All actors were led by the director Wilson Yip with great freedom and lightness

The work of costume designer Pik Kwan Lee attracts my attention, because this leather jacket is so characteristic for Donnie Yen. Also the light trench, which Collin Chou wears in this movie, fits to him perfectly!

Invariably, I am always laughing when watching the scene on the contaminated beach with people wishing to bathe. This idea written by Kam Yuen-Szeto and Lik-Kei Tang is really very funny and good!

Weakness .... are they? ;)

The final fight it is Mixed Martial Art and for me is a little unbelievable ;) But let's start at the beginning.

Firstly - the accelerated car hits Wilson and the only consequence is the broken leg.

Secondly - detective Ma should have cracked neck joints at the beginning of fight with Tony.

Thirdly -  Ma and Tony fall down but still have all bones whole.

Let it be all :)

Despite of these two last remarks, I love watching this final fight and to see that goodness always prevails over evil.

And trivia at the end:

There are two actresses who play roles of mothers. One of them is Helena Law La who plays role of Ma mother and second is Ping Ha who plays role of Tony's mother.
